“ When our kiddos wake up Easter morning, the Easter Bunny leaves a trail of Easter Eggs that lead them to their Easter Basket full of yummy prizes and treats.

“ Last year, we started a new tradition of leaving out carrots for the Easter Bunny to snack on while he visited our house to fill our Easter baskets. My kids were ecstatic to see the half eaten carrots the next morning…

“ One year I went crazy and made jello in the shape of a rabbit, and a rabbit shaped cake.

“ Our Easter weekend is always busy, spending Saturday with the grandparents eating and hiding eggs and maybe playing some croquet, and Sunday after church out on the beach with friends for a big potluck dinner.

“ We found a fabulous Easter Brunch restaurant that is now a new tradition. The food is great and they have little yellow chicks that the kids could hold and take pictures with the Easter Bunny.

“ My best friend and I have a tradition of getting Easter Baskets for each other the day after Easter. That way we get the best stuff at half price.

“ Easter egg hunts are fun, but the Easter bunny really would like to sleep in most Easter mornings. Hiding eggs before sunrise means that she often forgets where she put them.

“ For us, Easter begins on Friday night with the traditional coloring of the Easter Eggs. And, that night is when the Easter Bunny visits.

“ Last year we made an Easter Gingerbread house complete with a stone path and a Peep Chick to guard it!

“ I’m eager to create our own traditions for our little family. I’m not entirely sure what they’ll be yet, and I’m sure they’ll change along the way — I just want memories that all of us can remember and enjoy together.
